Free Mode Suggestion - 3:10 to Yuma

This is related to my other idea thread, and is based upon Screaming Meat's idea, Which can be found Here

The idea of the game mode is based on the Western Film - 3:10 to Yuma, if you have'nt seen it yet, I highly recommend watching it.

Anyway, the whole idea of the game is that there there are two teams, The lawmen, and the Outlaws, basically, the Lawmen have captured an Outlaw and have too escort the Outlaw too the trainstation somewhere (Its in the film) Meanwhile, the fellow Outlaws are trying too stop the lawmen from doing so, and getting there Outlaw Leader back alive.

So, The Lawmen Will have the outlaw allready (Unless they wan't too try and capture him) and will start at a location somewhere far away from the trainstation.

Whilst the Outlaws will start somewhere imbetween the Lawmen and the trainstation (too make it easier, Or start behind them like in the film). However, the lawmen have too make it easier for the outlaws so have too stop of a 2 - 3 towns and stay there for 2 - 3 minutes real time, (makes it easier for the Outlaws)

I have'nt decided whether or not the captured outlaw is aloud to shoot back at his fellow outlaws too make it more fun for him or whether or not he will just have too sit out?

Anyway, If the Lawmen manage too stay alive (If you die, you're out of the game and have too sit out) and manage to get the Outlaw too the trainstation, they then are aloud to Kill the Outlaw causing the game too end, and them too win. However, if the Outlaws manage too kill ALL of the Lawmen and get back there fellow leader alive, then the game ends causing them too win. Simple.

Post what you think, and/or any other ideas which can be added too the mode.
Also, i've written this quite fast, so if some areas don't make sense or if i've missed something out, tell me.

yup. 4 ppl start in the van at the prison and try to escape to the airport with everyone else after them lol

I like the idea. Could get very intense. A couple of suggestions/comments.

The outlaws should start behind them and have to catch up to the lawmen if the lawmen will be required to stop at some towns before hand.

Also, the captured outlaw should be given the possibility of escape. At the start of the game he has whatever weapon you start with and then he has to shoot out all the ammo so he has nothing but fists. Now the lawmen are not allowed to let him die or shoot at him UNLESS he manages to get a gun. Then they are allowed to kill him (and if they do so they win) or he is allowed to somehow escape and with the help of his gang kill the lawmen.

That is sort of confusing... Basically it's more interesting if the lawmen also have to keep an eye on the captured guy. Like in the town where they stop, some would have to keep watch for the outlaws on the way while some keep their guns trained on the captured outlaw to prevent him from breaking free.

I feel this would keep things a bit more interesting for the Lawmen besides just riding horses and also more interesting for the captured person.

Yeah, Niceone Swat, i like the idea of him releasing all his ammo and if he does get hold of a Gun, Nice.

Yeah, it could get very interesting because the captured outlaw could be in a situation where he is like going to get a gun and then people have their guns trained on him and he has to pick it up and run or shoot first somehow.

Also, if they kill him before he ever picks up a gun they lose because they need to get him to the train. And if the outlaws accidentally kill him they of course would lose.

The only thing I'm worried about at this point (because I am very interested in playing this game mode) is, will it be possible to ride on the back of someone's horse? That is sort of necessary for this to work. Also, how much damage would you take from leaping off the horse because that would be a cheap way for the captured person to escape.

Yeah, we will have to take to note on the damage, and yeah, I think you can get two players to a horse, because on one of the videos, you see and old women on the back of Marston's horse.

Also, do you think there should only be about 5 Lawmen, and then 8 Outlaws?

my idea for this game mode was that the captured leader would start off at the centre of the map or something with the outlaws and lawmen on opposite sides of the map from each other. you could make the rules that the lawmen have to capture the leader and the outlaws have to kill him. if the lawmen manage to capture him then they have to take him to a designated area, e.g a train station. also you could add a rule that when an outlaw dies he joins the lawmen team and vice versa, that way the captured guy doesn't have to sit out and neither do the guys who die.

awesome idea and this was my least favorite scene because he made it too the train and then he was shot but I also liked how Ben Wade shoots his whole gang which proves that outlaws have a heart

Seems cool, but we'd prob have to wait to get a feel for the online to see if we could set this up so it could work. Maybe we can tie ppl up online and if they want they can span again or stay tied up and see if someone can untie them.

I dunno if it was suggested, I didn't read through the whole thread or forum, but how about..

The 2nd LIFE:
- We each have a character that we stick with.
- A different job for each person so while we're playing, we keep our 'other world' moving along.
- Some jobs/titles: Hunters, 'bartender'/guy who is behind the counter lol, army/guards, lawmen, maybe even a small government to keep everything running smoothly.
- You can go the bad guy route online with us and be an outlaw alone, or recruit some other members to follow you against the 'good guys'.
- Choose a house you want and that will be yours only. If someone unwanted trespasses I'm sure the lawmen wouldn't mind if you shot them on sight.
- Or you could invite a buddy over to pick you up.
- We could all go to the saloon for a few drinks every now and then, set up some different camps, go for rides together.
- We could vote every little while if you get sick of your job or want to trade jobs with someone.
- Basically everything we want to do, just make it like another life lol. Set up a government, and just go way too fucking far with the game, like I'm talking about.
- Should be fun.

I know this wouldn't all be done in one sitting, but just for our free roam whenever we get on to play. Not everyone would have to follow along, a private party of 8 or 16 to fill it up, and even let some other non-posse players join so we can all drop our jobs to help and make sure no one fucks with us.

It's just another suggestion/idea. Hopefully it wasn't suggested earlier. It's definitely something I'd like to do.

Yeah someone already posted something like this. But it sounds super fun doesn't it??? We plan to try it out. I want to be a hotel owner or bartender or something in town.
