    Rockstar has confirmed there will be gold versions of the gun you max out in multiplayer. So whatever gun you use the most will become gold.

    The Golden Guns were a special unlockable for the Amazon pre-order. Maybe this means the pre-order goodies were simply intant-access, and that there's other ways to unlock then in-game. Hopefully, this includes the GS Outfits (even those that didn't win), and the War Horse.

    That's pretty sweet. They give so much incentive to play the game. As if there wasn't already enough.
    To answer your question about choice, I'd say you have the option of upgrading so if you don't like the gold then you can more than likely just not upgrade it.

    watched th vid omg this game will suit all types of players if you want to run with a posse ,hunt,mavrick ect and theres golden guns am i dreaming or have they actually listend to gamers and what they want in a game like to know the proccess they went through to get this finnished product

    True, but these sort of small extras, I don't see how R* would benefit from taking them from the game as a whole for some, and I doubt R* will start being money-grubbing DLC whores like other developers. Call it blind fate if anything.

    I feel that golden weapons sometimes seem like they try too hard to make it look cool. Plus, I am a guy who grew up in a family who owns guns, and golden guns seem too much like an accessory that is unnecessary.
