Actually, America didn't get involved in the first world war except for selling weapons to both sides. During the second, they only got involved when they were threatened, leaving the old countries to fight amongst themselves until then (wisely, I might add).
America is the country that expounds the values of liberty and freedom, yet it was built entirely on the backs of slaves. America is the country that is mostly against abortion, yet mostly supports the death penalty. A country that, along with other western powers, seeks to make sure that third world economies stay such, so that they never become a threat. The country that, once again with all it's buddies, commits heinous crimes to get the last of the fossil fuels, like a desperate crack addict.
It also has many of the best bands, films and games - so what do I care? God bless America and God bless my soap box.
