I doubt it would get banned. Waaaay too much money riding on it. You can be sure though, that the media will knot their brows and lay on the tuts over it. It's all free advertising.

no it aint uptight bout it, its just i read on the gta iv website wen it came out that there was talk of banning it. and lots or american and uk critics hating it

Media the world over still see games as children's toys. If it's a slow news day, they'll have a pop at RDR. We have a Jack Thompson equivalent but no one takes him seriously - THANK GOD.

i would like it to be game of the year Fred, but i just don't think it will be because there are a lot of people who think RDR is gonna be a load of crap just because it's a western game.

Yeah bro, but look at the reviews it's already spawning. They have all been 9's and above (with the exception of one that gave it an 8, but they didn't even play MP). There are next to no other games on IGN that have a 9.7 or 9.8 but RDR already does. most of the people I know have this attitude towards RDR
western = old
old = crap
crap = can't be bothered to research it
can't be bothered to research it = doesn't see all the good ratings
doesn't see all the good ratings = doesn't buy the game.

None of my friends are into video games like I am. The ones that do play just want to play Madden and Halo. I do not play either of those. It's FIFA and RDR for me

ah I'm kinda a cod, rockstar, and driving games person. Plus I would buy rockband or g hero, IF I HAD ENOUGH MONEY FOR THE SET! Seriously I know graphics are good and things like that with these games, but if you compare the prices with other things likeimportant things it's kinda rediculous. It's like I don't like football n soccer but I respect it for a reason I cannot fathem. Why get paid so much for kiking a ball? Why get paid so much for making virtual stuff?, pixels?

I am not entirely sure but I am hoping GOTY. This years line up seem to be pretty strong. MW2 does not deserve even a single other award because it does not deserve them.
