Heroes and Villans of the West

Right, you filthy whore-slags, viddy well:

There just isn't enough stuff in this here criminally underused Western Cinema section. So, in the name of barrel-scraping, I want to hear about your personal favourite heroes, villains, whores, cut-throats and charlatans from throughout the history of Western movies.

Don't be shy: Loving Yul Brynner's baldpate? Terrified of Clint Eastwood's singing voice? Maybe you got a thing for Jack Elam's wandering eye? This is the place, folks.

I'll start: Gian Maria Volente plays the baddie in the first two Leone Westerns (Ramone and El Indio, respectively) and he is genuinely TERRIFYING, especially in For A Few Dollars More:



The man prowls about like a hyena on a coke comedown: he's just as likely to maniacally laugh his arse off as stab your face in. In fact, I'm not sure if Volente or the song are scarier.

Since you have a villain already i will go with a hero,one from The Magnificent Seven.

That is right Yul Brynner.If you have seen the part where he maintains his cool as Horst Buchholz lets off his guns in the bar, you will know he has what it takes to be the hero for whats ahead.
