No Midnight Launch

I've heard a lot of you and other ppl say about midnight launches in your area's so I decided to call Gamestop today about it only to find out that they will more than likely not be doing it. The lady told me they usually only do it if they have well over 200 pre-order's and they only have about 50 right now......This really sucks, I was really hoping for the whole nostalgic night where I go down to Wal-Mart and stock up on cases of Pepsi and junk, get a new wireless headset and then stand in line at Gamestop and get RDR to go home and play all night. This sucks.

Really? MY GS is apparently doing it. Maybe it's different from store to store, different mangaement and what-not.

I believe my game stop is doing a midnight launch. I'll let you know.

I preordered mine at best buy since I had a gift card. I dont think it is doing a midnight launch sale either, but the preorder cards they give it to take to check out were all gone.

Not every Gamestop does it. I'm not sure if mine is doing it or not. I got my copy on Amazon

Well, you guys are lucky, I have to wait to the 24th to get my hands on it. I'm going to a house in the middle of nowhere for a little vacation. It's going to be fun, I'm going to get wasted every day. But I'm missing out on the game the first days and that sucks big time!!!

If it makes a difference, I have a final on Tuesday morning, so even if I get it at midnight, I won't play until noon of the next day.

I still remember the SSBB launch. I played all freakin' night, and it was awesome when I unlocked Sonic.

I'll be finding out whether or not I get this job on Saturday. So I might end up working on that Tuesday. Which would be cool and suck at the same time.

I just found out that the game stop near me is having a mid-night release... and I live in a small town in Colorado

Dont fee to bad TC im in the same boat my EB is in a mall and according to the malls rules they will never be allowed to do a midnight launch, im thinking of saying forget the assassains coat and buying it from wal mart at midnight

i have three GS in my area.from my work i can walk to all three of them. midnight release for sure in my area!

I will get it at midnight even if they are not open!

Yeah, the game stop in my mall had a midnight release for Batman: Arkham Asylum, but they charged the owner of the store a shit ton of moolah to keep the doors open that late. So, this year, he's skipping the mall part and moving all of his reservations to the second game stop on the other side of town so that he can still have an inexpensive midnight launch.

My store is doing a huge midnight launch party. Over 200 people reserved at my store. More than any other gamestop in chicago.

I keep calling gamestop every week but still no luck, hopefully they will change they're minds. I wish I lived in Chicago, lol. Sounds like a great night is ahead for u man.

AHHH I spoke too soon, I just checked with my Gamestop to make positive that they were doin' the midnight release and they aren't, nowhere in town is. I live in the f#$*ing Capitol of Texas, and people aren't preordering epic COWBOYesque videogames? WTFFFFF. Oh well... I'll be beating down Gamestop's door at 10 the next morning.
