What are you hoping for?

What kind of missions are you hoping for in Red Dead Redemption?

I've been wanting one were Marston is given some kind of natural drug by the Native Americans, and he has some kind of trippy fight with his inner demons, dealing with what he had done in the past when he was part of a gang.

I'm sorry Fate. But i Couldn't think of anything worse.

Depends how it was dealt with. Max Payne had some cool dream sequences (at least, I thought so). I'm still reeling from that utterly misplaced zombie section in True Crime: Streets of LA. Truly if anything deserves a massive WTF, it is that.

Like a nightmare, like Meat said when he mentioned the scenes in Max Payne.

how about marston has to save a whores basterd 17 year old son from a posse of wild outlaws tryin to bring him into there gang. Which would seperate mother from son.

So you would have to kill the gang and relocate mother and son to new town.....

I would kind of like that, Fate.

Anyways, the types of missions I would love would be flashback missions, of when Marston was running with his old Gang.
These missions would happen when Marston is about to kill one of his old gang buddies. The missions could be a particular heist that he and whatever member he's about to kill pulled together. Maybe give us a taste of actual brotherhood between them, giving much more weight not only to the Ex-Member's eventual death, but also at how much Marston loves his family, to go as far as killing someone who he once would've considered a best friend.
I would really love it if this game had good, fleshed-out relationships, and that Marston's old gang weren't just bad guys to kill, but people with their ups-and-downs as well.

And it's been confirmed that Marston can pick flowers to give to Doctors to make medicine, what happens if he picks a Datura flower? :O

We could go on a hunt for the damn cigarette that keeps disappearing

I was hoping for a jailbreak mission, that there should have been in Gta IV but i highly doubt it as we are fighting with the law in most cases.

or maybe bust someone outa jail cowboys style hooking up a horse to the jail bars and pulling them loose

I would like to play like a flashback mission to back when Marston was still in his former gang before he betrayed him, or right before they betray him and the mission ends with you beiong left for dead. Great way to show you the backstory and Marstons past.

Unpredictable ones.

I hate cut n' paste missions where I know what's going to happen before it happens. Kills the tension and the fun.

And I like missions that actually influence the story if even only a little bit. I like feeling like my character is changing as things move along too.

i hope this game is better then GUN.....oh wait...it already is and it hasn't even been released yet

The one that was similar to 'Heat'? That was indeed a highlight of mine, too.

I'd like Bank Robberies and Train Heists to have a single introductory mission as part of the story. Then, once completed, they become optional side-quests (at the expense of honour), getting progressively more difficult until it culminates in a Wild Bunch/Butch & Sundance 'impossible odds' climax.

It'd be nice to have to track someone cross country in a similar way to Native Americans, Survivalists and what-not.

I wouldn't be upset if most of the missions were in some way refrences to rich history of Western Literature and movies.

I also hope it has an epic ending like in Ballad of Gay Tony where you go after the plane on a motorcycle and then you jump on kill his goons and shoot the guy. Then the plane explodes and you parachute out

i'd personally like a variety in my missions. the campaign should take the random events style of no 2 missions being the same
